Salomon Jakobsson (1995) has been halied as one of Sweden's most promising young guitarists. Alone, he uses the full guitar to create an imaginative weave of sounds that varies from complex and fiery to peaceful and fluid. The inspiration comes from as wide sources as classical music and 8-bit, to metal and jazz. Genres are merged and with one foot in the technical traditions of Lenny Breau and Michael Hedges, and one in the unknown, he simultaneously plays bass, melody, harmony and percussive elements, creating guitar music with a focus on texture and musical flow.
In 2016 Salomon released his debut album ‘In The Valley of Notes’ and have since performed all over Europe, won awards in music competitions and been invited to the international artist teams of D’Addario, Hughes & Kettner and Ibanez. The next album is due to be released in the spring of 2019.
